What is Reflexology?
It is a relaxing complementary holistic therapy, based on the theory that different points on the feet and lower leg, correspond with different areas of the body. A reflexologist will use pressure massage to the feet, so that these reflex points are stimulated in order to aid the body to heal itself.
Reflexology is suitable for both men and women of all ages and is used to bring relief from a wide range of acute and chronic conditions such as:
• Stress
• Back pain
• Headaches
• Sleep disorders
• Hormonal imbalances, including pregnant women (Maternity Reflexology)
• Fertility Reflexology
As a Reflexologist, I do not claim to cure, diagnose or prescribe. It is a very individual treatment which works with you holistically with the aim to help the body restore its balance naturally.

Typical Treatment
Reflexology is a very easy, relaxing treatment to receive.
I will initially ask some questions about your medical history and lifestyle and cover any queries that you may have. I will then ask you to remove your shoes and socks, you will be made comfortable in a reclining chair, covered with a blanket and then I begin the treatment. It is best to wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing.
I apply a firm but comfortable pressure when working on your feet, using a variety of techniques when working on the different reflex points. It is not uncommon to feel yourself drift off into a deep state of relaxation and, when the treatment is over, you should feel calm, and refreshed.
The initial consultation and treatment will last around 1.5 hours and subsequent treatments will last up to an hour.
If you have a specific condition, you may find it beneficial to continue with regular reflexology treatments to maintain health and well-being.
